Ah, the G word. I know as bloggers we talk about this a lot. But this weekend it really started to wear on my heart.
Hubby had a 4 day so of course I wanted to spend as much time with him as possible....and the kids of course. We didn't have any plans except that hubby was supposed to go hunting Saturday with a friend. But that friend got sick with a fever and couldn't go. And you can't go hunting alone, so that meant that hubby couldn't go.
I was glad that he was going to be able to go because this is one of only a couple weekends he could go before he got too cold. And I figured I'd get a little blogging and sewing done while he was gone. Then take the kids out to dinner for being so good while I sewed. At least that was going to be my bribe.
I did try to sneak away a few times and get a little sewing done. I need to get my new nephews things done and I made a couple things for his big sister. And I need to start on Emma's birthday day dress and banner.
Every time I stepped into my craft/office I left so guilty. Even though I know that hubby didn't care if I was in there or not, but I couldn't help the feeling.
I know you all know what I'm talking about. I've ready plenty of posts and tweets about this thing, so I know I'm not alone.
Trying to find that balance is hard. Tomorrow is a preschool day for Emma so after I drop both kids off at school I'm headed to B&N (if you follow me on twitter you know it's my fave place to go now) and work on getting ahead of some blog posts.
Emma's birthday party is Saturday and birthday is Sunday so this weekend will be busy and fun!! She is so excited about it. Every morning she gets up and asks how many days left and then tells me that she's getting big. :) Love it!!!
On some super happy news.....I got my first official order in the shop!!! Thanks Olivia. She ordered a state hoop art of Louisiana in Saints colors!!!
