Last week was my first week back at menu planning.
Well I shouldn't say 'back at' since I've only done planning a few times and not consecutively.
I know that some of you (like me) are always looking for yummy meals to make for our families.
I wanted to share with you my plan for last week as well as this week. I'm hoping to start participating in Menu Planning Mondays. Although with my schedule with school starting my week will run Wednesdays thru Tuesday, but I'll still post on Mondays. :)
Everything these 2 weeks is a new recipe except the Chicken Fiesta Soup Chicken with Fennel cream sauce and Minestrone soup.
Sunday: Spaghetti. Every Sunday we have spaghetti. Not only is it easy and quick but it's fun to say it's Spaghetti and Sundae Sunday. ;)
Monday: Mrs. Skinnys Chicken Fiesta Soup The recipe isn't on the site but it's in the book (which is really good).
Tuesday: Chicken with Fennel cream sauce and penne pasta Totally didn't think I would like this because of the fennel....but it is soooo good!
Friday: Pizza night. Usually we make our own pizzas including the dough but last week we got Pizza Hut.
Saturday: Was date night so the kids had something easy with the sitter (sammies and mac n cheese) and hubs and I went out to dinner at Pike's Landing.
Sunday: Spaghetti night (duh!)
Monday: Whole roasted chicken with bbq rosemary sweet potatoes I did these in the oven and not the grill, doesn't take very long...there is no time on the site
Thursday: Chicken tortilla soup
Friday: Pizza night
Saturday: Haven't planned for this day yet, lol.
For the spaghetti, lasagna and pizza I make our sauce. I'm trying a new sauce this week so I'll let you know how it turns out. (Link is to new sauce recipe).
