I usually don't wear much jewelry.
I wear my wedding band and normally that's all. And this isn't the original wedding band, since I lost our jewelry back in 2010.
Side story: Went on a 3 week vacation before we moved to Alaska and had my engagement ring, wedding band, his wedding band and my brand new diamond earrings in a little Vera Bradley jewelry bag. And lost the bag. Everyone has searched their houses high and low looking for it. I'm hoping that one day, someone will find it.
Now back to the real story: I am trying to start wearing more jewelry. Mostly inspired by all the awesome ladies that I follow in blogland.
When I saw this jewelry swap from Melissa at The Life of a Not So Ordinary Wife, I knew I had to join in.
We had to say one word that describes what we like about jewelry. My word was 'classic'. Her note said as soon as she read that she knew what piece she was sending!

(yes, I'm aware I'm not a model, lol)
Again, I love love love it and can't wait to wear it. I'm thinking with a plain black shirt and a skirt maybe. I really only have jeans (which I'm working on expanding my wardrobe too, lol) so I'm gonna have to go shopping!
Thanks so much Kelly!!!
And for my swap...
I got Becky at Beauty for Ashes. She is a 20 something, wife to a firefighter, new mommy, who likes to cook and make up recipes (which I totally want to do one day!).
Her one word was earrings!!
Well, I really don't have any jewelry to spare. What I have is expensive (value was supposed to be under $10) and means too much to give away. (Remember, I don't have much either, lol).
So I went shopping! I looked for a while to find cute earrings for her. And I lucked out. I found (what I think to be) super cute earring with a matching necklace.
I forgot to take a picture of it before I mailed it so I will link up her post about it as soon as she posts it. :)

It looks great!!!! So glad you like it and that it has a good home! :)

ReplyDeleteThat's so funny that the necklace you got is that one! I had Kelly for my swap buddy and I almost sent her a necklace exactly like that! Good thing I chose a different one :)
